How Can Neuro Therapy Be A Comprehensive Sports Therapy Solution?
If you’re on this page, I don’t have to tell you that going down with a sports injury is incredibly frustrating.

The frustration you are feeling is exactly what led me to discover Neuro Therapy in 2012.  I was a 5th year senior on the football team at Penn State fighting for a starting spot as a receiver and punt returner.

A week before the season, I felt a pull in my hamstring during practice, and knew it wasn't good. I got it checked out by the athletic training staff, who diagnosed me with a grade 2 muscle strain that normally takes about 4-8 weeks to recover from.  I was devastated.  I had worked for 5 years for this opportunity, and in the blink of an eye, it felt like it was all being take away from me.

How Can Neuro Therapy Be A Comprehensive Sports Therapy Solution? If you’re on this page, I don’t have to tell you that going down with a sports injury is incredibly frustrating. Neuro Therapy helped me to overcome that injury and achieve what I set out to achieve in 2012 - earn a starting position on the Penn State football team. Without it, my career would have been over.
Even worse, I was told there was really nothing I could do to reduce the amount of time to return to the field.  Rest it, ice it, and let things run their course.  As an athlete, I had developed the mentality that if I worked harder than anyone else, I could accomplish anything.  Now, when I needed it most, I was being told that hard work would get me no where.

Enter Neuro Therapy.  I was introduced to Neuro Therapy through a teammate who told me it would help me recover faster from the injury.  With nothing to lose, I decided to give it a shot.

I worked with a therapist in central Pennsylvania around the clock to get back to 100% with 7 days.  As an athlete, Neuro Therapy was everything I believed the sports therapy rehabilitation process should be.

It was uncomfortable, intense, and the harder I pushed myself, the more quickly I recovered.

Neuro Therapy helped me to overcome that injury and achieve what I set out to achieve in 2012 - earn a starting position on the Penn State football team.  Without it, my career would have been over.
From that point on, I made it my mission to bring the most effective sports therapy to as many athletes as possible.  I spent the next 3 years mastering Neuro Therapy techniques and opened Premier Neuro Therapy in 2015.

Since then, our therapists have worked with hundreds of MLB, NFL, NCAA, PGA, and high school athletes all around the US to optimize the sports therapy process, recover faster, and get back on the field faster after a sports injury.

Athletes have the option of participating in our sports therapy programs locally at our clinic just outside of Baltimore in Cockeysville, MD, remotely via video conference, or through our on-call travel therapy program (we come to you).
In most cases, the people who are visiting this page fall into 1 of 3 categories:
You take pride in working hard, but have been told the only thing you can do for sports therapy is to take a break. A friend, family member (or maybe even something on social media) told you Neuro Therapy is a faster way to get better and back to performing at a high level.

You’ve had a nagging or reoccuring sports injury for months (or even years) and are starting to wonder why it’s not getting better. You’ve tried everything that doctors and trainers recommended to alleviate it, with little success. At this point, they may have even told you that you’ll just have to live with it. But if there’s a sports therapy program out there that can help you minimize the problem, you'd like to learn about it.

You’ve been told by a doctor that surgery will be required to fix the sports injury, and going under the knife is the last thing you want to do. You're worried it might not work or the recovery process will be longer than expected, and you're exploring alternative sports therapy options to see if there’s a way to avoid surgery all together.

If any of these are you, it’s likely you're already thinking through how to make sure this sports injury doesn't become (or continue to be) an issue that affects your career.

Maybe you’ve felt like other areas of the body have always been tight, and may have contributed to the injury.

Or you've felt yourself compensating or moving differently (feeling like your body is learning to move differently to avoid putting stress on the injured area?), and are worried about how it may affect your movement patterns long term.

It could even feel like certain muscles just don’t want to “activate” the way they used to.

If there was a sports therapy process that could help loosen up a few muscles, get a little more blood flow to the injured area, and start activating everything properly again, you're confident the injury would recover faster.

But you've been told that rest, ice, and exercises are the only thing you can do while the body runs its normal (slow) recovery process.

All of these feelings – tightness, moving differently (compensation patterns) and muscle activation are protective mechanisms driven by your nervous system.

These protective mechanisms actually slow the recovery process and increase the risk for re-injury when you return to play.

These protective mechanisms are driven by the nervous system.

If those mechanisms are not addressed through an effective sports therapy program, the recovery process can be difficult, range of motion continues to be limited, and pain signals actually amplify.

During Neuro Therapy, we “tap in” to the nervous system using electricity in order to determine where muscles aren’t activating properly.

The muscles that we find normally identify 1 of 2 things:
  • Protective mechanisms that have set in since the injury
  • Muscles that were not firing appropriately before the injury (and were more than likely a contributing factor to the injury)
Once we identify those muscles, we’re able to precisely target those areas and re-train the nervous system to utilize the muscles properly and bring blood flow to the area.

When the muscles start to work properly again,we can accelerate recovery and limit the risk of future injuries - the ultimate goal of any sports therapy program.

But you don’t have to take my word for it – I  understand that Neuro Therapy is new and what I’m saying is a little “outside the box.” I thought the same thing when I was introduced to the process in 2012.

For that reason, I want to help you gather all the information needed to determine if Neuro is the right fit for your sports therapy program.

I want you to learn about Neuro Therapy and experience what it can do for you without any risk or obligation.
So here's what I do for prospective clients.  I offer a free, 1 on 1, 90 minute Neuro Therapy session.  You'll get to go through a full Neuro Therapy session from beginning to end and have plenty of time to ask questions.
During the session, you can expect to learn the following about your sports injury:
What muscles are not activating properly and contributing to a less than optimal recovery

What muscles are not activating properly and contributing to a less than optimal recovery

What movement patterns and ranges of motion may have contributed to the injury

What movement patterns and ranges of motion may have contributed to the injury

How we can work together to fix it

How we can work together to fix it

Who knows, you might even experience a little bit of relief or increase in range of motion.

By the end, you'll have all the information you need to make a decision on whether Neuro is the right fit for you.
